Okay 4v50 , got me thinking just now.

As I posted in another thread: My Civil War Percussion muzzleloader given to me by my grandfather is mounted over the fireplace.

Anyone know of a GOOD/RELIABLE/TRUSTWORTHY firearms historian/evaluator in the Commonwealth of Virginia that might be able to give me an estimate for insurance purposes.

Can't recommend any appraisers but, keeping a long gun over the fireplace is not always good for the gun. Have seen some that were all sooty with dried up stocks.:( :( :(

Try David Condon out in Middleburg.

I think he's still out there.
