Don't know if this is the right spot,but I'll give'er a whirl.
I've seen handgun holders that mount on the
door of a safe. The handgun hangs on a rod in the barrel.
Anybody use these?Pros, cons?Where to get them?
Thanks

I don't recall seeing those. I know if I mounted them on the door in my safe they'd bang into the long guns and the shelves when I closed it up. John

My safe came with them, kinda a black plastic Shaker wall peg deal. Six rows of four pegs each, all over the inside of the door. I use every other peg for guns that didn't come with a box (I collect S&W's 44 Special, 41 Magnum and 32 caliber revolvers). They work very well, the guns don't bang together, don't get scratched, and don't hit the shelves or the rifle rack inside my safe at all. The raised knob on the end isn't that big, but it keeps the guns from falling off when you swing the door open. This feature lets me keep quite a few more guns in my safe than most people expect are in there, I really like it.

You might give this a try, worked for me.

I use coated hooks that were intended for rechargable drills, works really well.
(edited to add) It is hard to tell in the pic, but they are one piece with two anchors and two hooks connected together.

I remember seeing someone over on 1911forum.com (maybe here as well?) using a plastic file seperator (from an office supply store) attached at the back of the cabinet/safe to hold, maybe 8 ot 10 guns per shelf instead of three.
Not sure if that might work for you.

Come to think of it, although it's not in a safe, a local gun store has the used handguns up on the wall on a pegboard. They use rows and rows of long hangers (4" or 5" or so of plain shiney metal) and slide the muzzles on them.
