When did .32 caliber jump up in price? When I had a Kel-Tec just a year or 2 ago it was about $11 or $12 for a box of 50. Was looking at getting a new Kel-Tec the other day and ball ammo was $18 for 50. Online prices aren't far behind. Gun counter guy tried to tell me the high price is "because of the war". Huh????

The cost of all metals (including lead) has risen sharply here in '06, due
to the U.S. war effort in the Middle East. One rep even told us that the
price we ordered on today, couldn't be guaranteed next week~!:uhoh:

Go online and order from outdoor marksman, natchez and places like that. It can still be found around $10/box.

just because its a mouse gun round, with little or no ability to stop a fight, does not mean that it can't be ridiculously expensive.

I suppose that's what I must have been thinking...smaller === cheaper. I wasn't so much surprised that .32 was expensive since it's not a super-popular round. I was just surprised HOW expensive it was.

Yes, it is kinda silly that it costs so much. I agree w/ U. I may get a Keltec 32, but do not look forward to those prices, dude!

I think if you shop around you can do a bit better. However, ammo is going up across the board.

It's the same reason Diesel fuel costs less to refine yet has a higher price in the US. Supply (and capacity allocation) and Demand.

They have some Aquila FMJ 71 gr ammo thats pretty hot (reputed 900fps/muzzle). Even with shipping its under $10/box of 50.
Good ammo too - put 100 rds thru my Z-70 (although it being a Com-bloc gun would likley eat anything ....and has  )
