Folks:
Recently I drilled and tapped a Yugoslavian SKS, and found that the windage was off. Using the scope that I have, I had adjusted the windage all the way, but still needs more adjustment.
Are windage adjustable rings available? If so, would you be able to supply the precise name and part number so that I might be able to order some? Thanks so much in advance!

Check out Midway and cruise around, they have several. Do you want high, low, weaver, picatinny, etc...?

I've never used any, so I can't make any first hand recommendations, though.

Depending upon how much your are "off" you might be able shim (between the scope and rings) to get it more in alignment. Often done to adjust vertically, but I've never tried it horizontally. Might depend on th style of ring you're using, whether you can easily do so. (some of my rings "clamp" up-and down, others side to side.)

Where exactly did you drill and tap an SKS? I can only imagine it was the reciever cover (which could be problematic). If so, a much better solution is a reciever cover, with a scope rail already mounted. I have one, on one of my SKSs and it works OK (you lose zero if you remove and re-install though).

Windage adjustable rings are made by:

Who am I missing? If your tapped holes arent' too terribly out of whack, you might be OK with a set of rings from these manufacturers. Good Luck!

B-Square makes some, but they may only be available to fit airgun scope rails...

Get a set of Burris Signature rings. They have plastic inserts that go between the rings and the scope. Offset inserts are available so you can get your scope on paper without using its adjustments.

What kind of mount did you put onto the SKS?

IMO, unless you seriously lap your rings to make them true or you don't care if you put a lot of stress on your scope's main tube, I'd stay away from the Millet Angle-Locs. They'l certainly get you the windage you'll need but at the price of serious creases put into the scope's body by the rings.

+1 on the Burris offset inserts on their Signature Zee rings.

This is, of course, for Weaver rails.

If you have the holes drilled and tapped to accept standard bases, any from a number of base/ring manufacturers will do. (Standard bases/rings having adjust rear mounts.)
