Is a current FL CCL okay to use for concealed carry in GA?

If so, are there any special restrictions, or anything important to know?

Thanks.

Florida and Georgia do have reciprocity. Be aware that each state has its own laws regarding concealed carry and that since you are bound by the laws of the state you are in, you really need to be familiar with their specifics. For more information see http://www.packing.org/

If a FL permit isn't good in Georgia, I could be in deeeeep doo-doo. Seriously, though, the State of Florida's own web site says they have reciprocity with GA.

The trick to reciprocity, though, is that while you are in State X woth a permit from State Y, you must behave as if you had a State X permit. If State X does not allow carry in church, for example, while your own State Y does, then you can't carry in church in State X.

Florida permits are indeed okay in Georgia, but I would go to www.packing.org and read up on Georgia law, as, while you're in Georgia, you have to follow GA law concerning carrying a concealed weapon with a permit. I'm not providing legal advice, but basically, you're prevented from going to public gatherings (such as churches, sporting events, political rallies, amusement parks, and things of that nature), from going into publically-owned buildings (such as a courthouse and a school), and from going to any place that serves alcohol (it doesn't matter if you're partaking or not). Pretty much everywhere else, you can carry.
