Ciao,
I'd like to know what differences there are between the RCBS powder measure and the Redding's. I want to mean: does the Redding worth the money. I'm interested in pistol reloading because I'll use the scale for each rifle ammo...
Thanks.. ciao Gian...

I have never used the RCBS measure but have had the Redding Model 3 with both the pistol and rifle chambers. It is an excellent measure that I have been very happy with for the past 35 years. I quit weighing rifle charges years ago, just use a scale to set the powder measure and check it occasionally. The smaller pistol chamber does a great job with the smaller charges associated with handguns. Good luck with whatever you choose. Nick

Good question. I’d like to hear the answer myself. I have two Reddings.

I dunno about the powder measures, but I love my Redding scale. FWIW.
But honestly, you really can't go wrong with any of the brands on the market today...

I have had both. The RCBS with a baffle works very well, but not quite as consistent as the Redding B/BR measures. The difference on a fine grained powder like Bullseye or Power Pistol is nearly zero. Get into the flake powders like Unique or short cut stick powders and the Redding will be a little more consistant. Get into full stick powders and it will be quite a bit more consistant.
I think the Redding is worth the difference in cost.

I have owned and have used both measures. While the RCBS measure is an excellent piece of equipment for the money, Redding makes the finest precision reloading presses, measures, and dies on the market. You do pay more, but you are paying for that extra quality. Over the past 30 years I have replaced all my dies and single stage press with Redding. Still love my Dillon for pistol loads however. JMHO!
