It's the first Benchmade I'll ever have owned. A CSK156, fixed blade ,six inches of D2. I ordered it from newgraham along with a rev 4 Delica for EDC. Can anyone comment on this knife or Benchmade's D2 quality?

Thanks

I have many, many... now that I think about it, I have alot of benchmades. I don't own any fix blades, just folders, but you should not be dissapointed. Well made knives at a great price.

I own several dozen BM's of different varieties. IMO they are the best deal for the money. My edc is an 806D2 AFCK. I really like the D2 blade steel.\, it doesn't get\feel quite as sharp as other blade steels might, but it holds a sharp edge a LONG time under normal use, and in most cases is easy to resharpen. Great knives, great company.

Freddymac-Good to hear, I wanted a decent blade for all around and I wanted to try the D2 steel out after reading about it for years. I asked about Benchmade support and was told it was very good.Haven't found a Benchmade folder that appeals to me yet,at least not as much as Spyderco.

MadMercS55- Thanks, I've read about the afck, but I've not seen one. I don't think they are made any more. How does the D2 compare to VG10 steel? I like the VG10 as you can get a very sharp edge on 'em. Does Benchmade usually do a good job on the heat treat?

Thanks for the replies
