How to break down a S&W model 41

I recently purchased a mint, used model 41 S&W. It came with no paperwork or box.
I used to have one with the seven inch barrel. This one has the 5.5 inch barrel.
I vaguely remember pulling down on the front of the trigger guard to remove the barrel.
I don't want to bugger anything up, so can somebody walk me through the process?
Oh, BTW, this Smith has been drilled and tapped for a scope. I don't remember that feature on my other 41. When did they start doing this?

Hello. With an unloaded gun, remove the magazine after locking back the slide. Pull the trigger guard down ala Walther PPK and lift the barrel up and out.
Best.

+1!
Pinned,
I sincerely hope that you get as much pleasure and accuracy out of your mdl 41 as I have from mine.
Absolutely with out a doubt, the sweetest shooting .22lr I've ever had the joy of shooting!!!!!!
Mine also has a 5-1/2" barrel. I purchased mine for $200 from a friend that needed the cash for a CCW pistol.
(The BEST $200 I've ever spent!)

I find it helps to lock back the slide before removing the barrel.
