So it seems to me (I am not Navydoc, BTW- a mix-up in log ins) that although the total number dropped; the the majority were sought by states known for, among other things, a high level of government control and/or socialism, and draconian gun control: NY, CA, MD, NJ, IL- all the worst places!

Why FL and PA made the list? I dunno.

And the next person who says "If you have nothing to hide, it shouldn't bother you..." can take a long walk off a short pier or something to that effect.

Real interesting. I wonder if there is a well-heeled organization such as the NRA that could do some FOI work and determine the reason and nature of those taps.

BTW PA has a screaming, gun-grabbing socialist // marxist for a governor. So maybe its a measure of things to come.

Florida it seems because of the extremely diverse society we have. I would be that if you could get more granular, it would show that MOST of the Florida requests were for Dade county.

do you know who they are wiretapping? numbers can be high, so are criminal numbers as well.
do you think they would waste their time wiretapping farms who live in the middle of nowhere? that's what i thought.
i suspect they do it for drug dealers, specially in CA. big business, well at least in LA.
