I've got a lever action marlin in .357 that I love to shoot. I've thought about throwing a nice little scope on it for quick snap shooting. Something like a red dot with a 3 MOA dot or something. Or I've also considered a set of ghost ring sights instead. I currently use this as a truck gun with 158 grn S&B ammo.

So my options seem to be;
Red Dot scope, no magnification
Ghost Ring sights
Low power regular scope

Suggestions?

A scope on a lever gun, wash your mouth out.... Just kidding but a 1x4 scope or a 2x in a scout position is sweet. Look at a Marble's tang sight, a Lyman 66 (Receiver) or a williams 5d(also a receiver). The williams WGRS is also a good sight.
