Anyone have the list of changes between the 642-1 through current 642-3 revisions? This is their Centennial J-frame.

Model 642 Engineering and Production Changes

642 1990 Introduction
1992 Discontinue 3” barrel
1993 Model 642 .38 Special discontinued
642-1 1996 Reintroduced in J Magnum frame
1997 Shipped with Master trigger lock
1997 In August all barrel markings were moved to left side leaving right side blank.


Sorry but this edition cuts off exactly where you don’t want it. No more info after 642-1.

Guess you'll have to wait until Supica & Nahas release the 3rd Edition. :( Looks to me like most of the changes are relatively minor. I would hazard that adding the built in lock was one of the -3 changes?
