On my 24/7 Pro the slide gets pretty dirty at the muzzle end. I've rubbed it down a few times with Break Free but there's still some dark grey left down there. What's a good way to clean it?

I've also heard good things about Flitz. In fact, just ordered some myself based on strength of review.

Um, try some Ed's red before the abrasive stuff.

On stainless? Try a Lead Removal cloth. Easy and fast, no solvent required. Rubs the crud right off.
Don't try it on blued steel. Rubs blue off too.

Just use a solvent, not a CLP. It will wipe right off.

Thanks for the tips. I'll see what I can find at the gun show this weekend.

I either use Flitz or Mother's chrome polish. Be warned, any polish can often "overpolish" the area in question, leaving the finish mismatched especially if it's a bead-blasted satin finish.
Never tried the lead-away cloth on any slides, works great on stainless revolver cylinders though.

Do you folks think the fouling in question is from lead residue or is it from the gun powder? It looked to me like powder, would the lead solvent be ok for that?
