I have 2 questions,
The first is i need to know the name of the metal piece that is and adapter for .38 spl. Its hard to describe, but it fits onto the shaft-rod, so you seat .38s into the die. A link or the name of the piece would be greatly appreciated.

The second question is, I like my ammo to be perfect, meaning every single load fits into my Tracker cylinder, and I dont want to have to test every one of them in my actual gun. So i was wondering if the is some sort of testing cylender i can use for the same purpose that is more practical.

Thanks for the help

rounds can be appreciably shy of perfect (in fact, they can really suck) and still fit in the chamber. what you're looking for, is called a case gauge. dillon sells them in their catalog. wilsons makes nice ones. couple other brands. search the archives here for more info

if the case fits inside it, it will fit in your gun
the cut in the top lets you make sure the case is the right length

and your cases are the proper length, bullet seated to the proper depth, and your crimp die is set to the desirable crimp, your ammo should be consistant. chris3

I think this would be a better gauge for checking your loads...

I think the other one you saw was just for checking for cases which are too long and need to be trimmed.

I use the ones from Dillon and they are excellent.
