US Supreme Ct 2nd Amend case?

I just got a call (soliciting donations) from the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) saying that the SCOTUS had granted cert. (agreed to hear) the appeal from the 9th Circuit case.

Anybody got news on this?

Which Ninth Circuit case? The Silveira case, or the Nordyke case?

If it's the Silveira case, I hope that Gorski spent some of that money on a copy of "Elements of Legal Style" and "The Winning Brief."

The Silveira case. I have a call in to SAF to try to get some verification. I'll let you know if it was just a rumor.

Just looked at the SCOTUS site...as of 4/28/03, it has not been granted certiori.

Yes, I checked that also. But it is 2 days old. Still no confirmation. :confused:

Let's hope that's just a rumor. I think it would go badly for us.

Comfirmed by SAF as a false rumor. :rolleyes: The 9th Circuit has not yet even ruled on the petition for hearing en banc.

I, too, am worried about the results from the current SCOTUS.
