Who is using which bore guide? Why?

It's to protect the end of the barrel opening, if that is deformed then the gasses that are behind the bulled will exit unbalanced and cause the bullet to be deflected off of where you intend and it can cause the bullet an unstable flight.

Many rifles are crowned a certain way to even up that opening and to provide a 'lip' which helps preserve that opening from modest bumps and such.

I normally stick the cleaning rod in from the other end so I don't really need one. And I'm going to be getting a Boresnake just because it's way faster than any other method I've tried. A friend showed me one and they rule.

You can make a bore guide from a shell for that gun very easily, just cut a spent case and use the resulting 'funnel'. A brass case please.

Sorry, I meant why you are using the specific model.
