.yes a friend just gave me a very old 16,gauge double barrel
the patch box is built in the bottom of the butt-plate,and under
the lid,is the name J.WOURNEL..i think??it has a steel ram-rod
it as a few proof marks under the breech part of the barrel
such as a number 34 in a oval circle,ad what apears to be two
strands of wheat crossing each other,as a proof mark,
the number 16,capital G is stamped several places, like under
the trigger gaurd, the gaurd and every thing else is old steel
trim, with a floral desighn, back in the day it was probaly a
$75.00 buck gun, this shot gun is a cap-lock and very old...
anyone got any info at all???on a date made??
....thanks..
