I picked up some AA2230 to try out.

Any favorite loads with 55 gr. bullets? I mainly use FMJ BT bullets.

This is a great powder for the .223 rifle. I think it likes about 24 grains to start. Get thineself to the Accurate website for some good info. If you want to save money in buying this powder, you can get it as 2230C for about 8 bucks a pound from Powder Valley, Inc.

I have used AA 2230 with good results. As NVSHOOTER suggested to to AA website or get their reloading manual. Work up slowly.I knew a shooter who went 1 grain over max load and blew the bottom of his magazine out. Byron

I fully intend to consult the Accurate manual and other sources.

I am just wondering if anyone has come up with a pet load for the AR-15 using this powder.

I've heard the Accurate data is a little hot.

We have to distinguish between AA2230 and AA2230 C

GA,data that may work in mine may be too hot for yours. Just work up per AA data and you will find the right load. I have used 2230 in a bolt action 223 and got very good accuracy from 100 to 300 yards. Byron
