If it has a weaver or picatinny mount system, yes. For the record, weaver style rings will fit a picatinny rail, but not the other way around. The A3 flat top uppers are a picatinny rail.

The BSA red dot sight has a standard Weaver base and will fit fine on the A3's Picatinny rail.

We put my Tasco Reddot on my friends A3 last night as a matter of fact. The Tasco seems to have been made by the same people who made the BSA. Externaly they are identical.
We put it on and it fits fine, just seemed to low. The reddot was dead on the sloped part that leads up to the front sight. (Sorry don't know what else to call it. It was like it needed a riser or some thing. We wanted to get the dot floating just above the front sight.

If it's the 30mm BSA, you'll need a riser of some sort. ARMS makes several good ones, including the #38 swan sleeve with a BUIS built in.

For an inexpensive riser alternative, check out the Rock River Arms riser. My buddy has one, and I had an ARMS #5. The RRA unit is much more user friendly, with slots evenly spaced apart like the flat-top, rather than the infamous "couple here, couple there" of the ARMS unit.
My personal experience with the ARMS #38 was that, for a red-dot with built-in rail, the 1/2" lift still wasn't quite enough. The 3/4" lift from a #5/RRA riser was perfect (for me). Plus, I'd just feel all wrong about spending $100+ to give a lift to a $50 scope... ;)

They are available for $31 from Donnie at Sableco (http://www.sableco.net/id21.htm) .
