Just curious if anyone routinely carries more than one gun concealed. I sometimes carry a G26 on my ankle in addition to my G19 IWB.

Used to carry a P3AT in the right rear pocket but haven't as of late. Traded it off a while back and haven't gotten one to replace it. :o

In the Winter / colder months, I'll sometimes carry a second gun -- a Colt Pocket Nine in a Kramer Shirt Shoulder Holster and either a 229 or a Tac-Four in an inside the waist hip holster.

Back when I worked at 7-11 I carried my Makarov, and an XD

I actually once carried both my CQB and my XD. CQB in a gaclo shoulder rig, and the XD IWB SOB.

Don't carry two very much in the summer months, but in the cooler weather, I'll usually carry two. Normally two of the same or at least compatible models. 2 P220's or a P226 and a P228, etc.

during the winter i carry a Chief's Special in the front pocket, strong side. i do this on the theory that under a heavier coat i might not be able to get to my main CCW quickly enough, plus a lot of the time my hand will already be in there.

I used to.

However, when they re-engineered our CCW law last year (mostly for the better), a lousy little extra was added to prohibit the carrying of more than one concealed firearm. (Just who in the heck thought that jewel up?)

If we can get this removed, and get some common sense rules on carrying around alcohol sales, then we will have a pretty good CCW situation. Until then, ??

I carry a Keltech 32 as back up to what ever my primary gun is. In the Winter time the back up is a Smith and Wesson 642.

Nope. As a civilian I figgure one will get Me through the night. As a LEO I might rethink this..........Essex

I'll sometimes clip on the NAA subminiature .22 revolver, because I can...-FNR.

It's funny I came across this post today. I did something a little different for CCW this morning. I have been missing my little Kel-tec 380 for the past month after leaving it at a friend's house. Got it back last night, so I dropped it in my pocket today in its Desantis Nemesis holster. But I'm not much for relying on a .380, so as usual, I donned a .40 on my right hip; in this case, my CZ Rami. But as I was walking out the door wearing cargo shorts, a nice new Hawaiian shirt, and some flip-flops, I noticed my GLOCK 27 looking kinda lonely on my dresser. So, you guessed it, I dropped it in behind my Rami. Rami's at about 3:30 o'clock and GLOCK's at 5 o'clock.

The reason I bring it up is to brag on my Fist kydex holsters and specifically on my G27. Those holsters hug so tightly that I hardly knew I was carrying one gun today, let-alone two guns. And there's just something about that little GLOCK that makes it mold to one's skin. What is that, 19 rounds of .40 and 7 rounds of .380 without a reload? I doubt I'd need more than 20, maybe 22 rounds in a typical zombie attack anyway.

I'm a civilian. I work in a high risk retail establishment. In addition to the .45 under my shirt, there's a P3AT in my pocket.

Just curious if anyone routinely carries more than one gun concealed.Almost always.

Whenever I am out of my house I routinely carry two.
But three would not be uncommon.

my Steyr in my man purse, which I refer to as my "gunnie sack", a Kel Tec in my left pocket, and a NA revolver with the folding grip in my right pocket which has a belt clip that I use as a money clip..........If I am in my truck, there is an AK and a shotgun too.......chris3

I sometimes chuck a .38 snubbie or an AMT .380 Backup in a hip pocket or in my vest pocket. Depends upon the terrain and situation.

At work, in the summer, my Colt Defender is so deeply concealed that presentation is necessarily slow. So I usually have an old Model 38 (blued) in my pocket for when speed matters more than punch.

Alot of times I'll carry either a Kimber TLE in a brommeland IWB or a BHP in an alessi bodyguard, plus a kel tec .380.

One time, on a dare, I carried a BHP in the Alessi bodyguard Shoulder holster, the Kimber on the right hip, the kel tec in the back pocket, a Delta Elite in a SOB holster, a Glock 26 crossdraw style, even though it wasn't technically a crossdraw holster, and a Norinco about 8'oclock

Yes, thats 3 full size 1911's, a BHP, a glock, and a kel-tec.
I didn't even THINK about going to the bathroom. (and it was only for about 30 minutes.)

I won a free box of 10mm silvertips on that one :)

Guilty as charged.

My Kel-Tec P-32 is always in my hip pocket, regardless of whether or not I'm carrying my Taurus PT-145.

Oh, yeah, and a Kalashnikov automatic knife is clipped securely to my right front pants pocket.

Generally 2 or 3 at a time.

Vitamin G, been there done that! :D
As, I suspect, have many of us.

Perhaps you should start a "how many on a dare" thread.
I'll wager that would be interesting.

No because only crazed gun loonies would as I don't go into areas that are that threatening.

Also, it will look bad in court if I go to trial.

:D :D :D :neener:

Depends - sometimes I carry a J frame - lately it's been my new SW 432 - very light and 6 shots. Or maybe my 642. If I wear a sport jacket over my Glock 19, I've been known to drop a NAA 22 Mag in the side pocket.

The other day - I wore my PM9 in an IWB with an extra mag on my belt and I dropped my SW 432 in a DeSantis pocket holster in the cargo pocket of my shorts.

I sometimes carry the NAA with snake shot when in the field.

I've carried a Colt Gunsite CCO in an IWB holster and a Sig P245 in a SmartCarry holster before. Not the most comfortable combo when sitting down, but it could have been worse.

Now I tried the XD in a galco shoulder rig, with a 6" Rossi .357 IWB at 4 o clock, under the spare mags for the XD. It was actually very, very, comfortable. Ive been packing that slim revolver for a while now.

For all of those who believe there maybe a law against more than one gun. I think that you wrong. Especially you USP9. I could be wrong but on a few other forums I post on many people were carrying 2 guns.

Tecumseh, I am refering to Virginia code only. Other states have differing laws. You may indeed be able to carry multiple weapons in your home state.

My experience is this; When I first obtained my permit I was told "one gun ONLY" by the clerk of the court. Later, after another THR thread on this subject, I verified with Virginia State Police. Their response was "ONE gun". The only reference I can find in VA code says "a concealed handgun". That is interpreted as one by the authorities. If you carry more than one gun in VA, perhaps you should check with local authorities to comfirm this. If you know of a reference in the code, I'd be interested in that.

Why yes.....doesn't everyone???

Mine is usually either my 4" 1911 or my 4" XD-45 with my Taurus PT-145 as a backup gun. I have also carried my 2" SP-101 in as ankle holster at the same time. I am 6' 6" tall and weigh 300lbs so a couple of extra pounds of guns is no biggie for me.:p

I carry one now, but at the end of the month it will be two. Adding a NAA Guardian .32 to the stable.

All:

I specifically remember the lawyer at my Michigan Concealed Pistol License class stating that we are only allowed one concealed pistol.

I was told by an Ohio attorney that Ohio and Michigan didn't have reciprocity too. He was wrong, they do recognize each other's licensing.

I'm inclined to believe most lawyers, but obviously they need checkin' up on.

I've never heard that before. And my Virginia friends tend to carry more than one weapon at a time.

The only thing that changed was the wording on the license. The back side is also wrong. You can carry as many as you want.

In Texas, you are only limited to the quantity of guns that you can conceal.

Super:

Thanks, but I'd hate to be carrying my Kahr P9 in my Alessi ankle holster and my H&K P2000 .40 on my hip in the Kydex Galco when a LEO asks me where I got my information on dual carry and I have to say: "Some Super guy on the internet."

If you don't mind, what is the source of your information?

Thanks again,

Kowboy

I often carry a second gun when out repossessing cars. Normally I have two S&W M64,carried one on each hip or a Glock 19 with a S&W M60 as a back-up. And in Virginia you can carry more than one gun. I have been pulled over many times (have a problem with a lead foot:D) and none of the cops batted an eye when I told them where my guns were on me. Quite a few of them said it was a idea to have a BUG.

buzz_knox, Do you have a reference for your statement? friends doing it isn't quite good enough. My understanding is that it is a felony to have another firearm on you...that's serious stuff...and would cause you to loose your permit for at least 5 years.

I may be wrong, but I'd like to see it in writing first. :scrutiny: I put another call into the Culpeper HQ for the State Police concerning this. When/if I get an answer I'll post it here.

I understand the need for verification. But perhaps we should start with the source for the apparent restriction on the number of firearms that can be carried at one time. While Virginia law states you can only buy one firearm a month, it seems silent on the issue at hand.

I carry 4 CCW permits, and normally one CCW sidearm. Sometimes two.
