Traditionally, we've classified states in terms of Right To Carry as follows:

"Infringed/Denied"
"Shall Issue" (VT typically gets lumped in here)
"May Issue"

I notice that this map correctly lists VT as "unrestricted"

What I want to do is get a sense of the "may issue" states.

I acknowledge they are ALL problematic, but some are more problematic that others.

For example, HI, NJ, and MD are effectively "No way in hell" states, which is an order of magnitude different from "find a friendly county sherriff" states, or MA, which I hear for the most part is "will issue".

So, can we get a few more categories in here?

Additionally, we should also create a similiar map for purchase and possession.

I think a lot of folks would be surprised how many places require you to paperwork (license & register) pistols.

They'd be even more surprised about longarms.
