The purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people. - Bill Clinton We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans...-Bill Clinton The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed the subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. - Adolf Hitler Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal.- Janet Reno Gun registration is not enough. - Janet Reno We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism. - Nikita Khrushchev If the opposition (citizen) disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves. - Josef Stalin A liberal is someone too poor to be a capitalist and too rich to be a communist.- Unknown Communism doesn't work because people like to own stuff.- Frank Zappa Nobody these days holds the written word in such high esteem as police states do... - Italo Calvino During my training I was trained in Psycho-politics. This was the art of capturing the minds of a nation through brainwashing and fake mental health. - Kenneth Goff offthepaper June 28, 2006, 09:43 PM Kung Fung Chinese Carry Out ------- We Deliver! :neener: Jake June 28, 2006, 09:48 PM I'm thinking something along the lines of one of those "Keep honking I'm reloading" bumper stickers. Still can you imagine a kiddie ride with about six vehicles looking like that with the "extensions" and "guns" - all kiddie vehicles of course - going around and around real slow and having a ball? I mean some kids are really small, and adults have to get on the ride with them... "But grandpa we have ridden that ride 4 times in a row and I want a corn dog". "Sonny get your butt back on the ride, we can get corn dogs later..." I figure some of you adults know who you are - yeah you - hiding behind a kid. :p What county fair is closet to Sarah Brady? Have I got a proposal for a new kiddie ride for that fair being the "first" with the "newest coolest" kiddie ride. What army, when, where? mustanger98 July 3, 2006, 04:33 PM A bit of a tangent: exactly what IS that photo of? What army, when, where? I have no info on this so take it with several salt blocks (the big ones down at the feed store), but my thought when you posted that question is that the photo probably leaked out of North Korea in the last couple of weeks. Nematocyst July 3, 2006, 04:56 PM <appropriate caveat snipped>...the photo probably leaked out of North Korea in the last couple of weeksI thought something similar (even though more like 40 years ago), but then took a close look (magnifier in a photo viewer) at the guy in the passenger seat & the guy on the outside of the driver (far right of the image). Neither looks of oriental decent; both look more caucasian. But then, I'd recommend just as much salt when reading my interpretation. I did finally find this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_Moke)that seems to be relevant to the image title that includes the word "moke": The Mini Moke is an open car based on the Austin Mini, designed by Sir Alec Issigonis. Made at the Longbridge, Birmingham plant of the British Motor Corporation between 1964 and 1968, 15,000 were produced in the United Kingdom. It was subsequently produced in Australia, Portugal and Italy. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moke akanotken July 3, 2006, 05:02 PM The earliest special effects crew for the James bond movie were summarily dismissed when thier efforts to create a Bond car failed to please the studios' heads. Wiley July 3, 2006, 05:07 PM "Not being able to afford an A10 Thunerbolt II, they did the best they could." LAK July 4, 2006, 05:46 AM "... He is not really going to try and pass between those two parked tanks is he?" Interesting system though. The Mini Moke cheep driver can remain in position enjoying at least alittle offset clearance from the muzzles while the bazooka and or MG are employed to forward, and they can both be employed in any 180 degree arc. I'd wager both outriggers can be detached and emloyed in a static position while the cheep remains mobile with all it's available carry space. ----------------------------------------------- http://ussliberty.org http://ssunitedstates.org Nathaniel Firethorn July 4, 2006, 11:37 AM A bit of a tangent: exactly what IS that photo of?
