Some years ago, when I was very little, my grandfather died. One of the guns he used to have was a .22 Revelation, and, of course, my dad inherited the gun. Several years after my dad inherited the gun and when I was old enough to have a real gun on my own (instead of a pellet gun) he gave it to me. I carried that gun everywhere. Squirrels, rabbits, crows, opossums and whatever else I could shoot legally.

To make a long story short, as little as I was it wasn't long before I broke the stock on the gun, and it's still broken to this day. Any thoughts on replacing this stock with another that's similar?

I don't know much about this brand at all. I guess I'm just looking into what kind of information you folks can give me on this gun. Anyone's 2 cents would be appreciated. Any kind of information you would have on this gun, let me hear it!!!

Thanks,
Newt

Stocks can be mended by drilling a hole and inserting & gluing a metal rod. Also consider having a stock made with ordinary walnut. If you live near a college that has a gunsmithing program, talk to the instructor. You may get a student to do it as a project and you pay material costs.

If you can provide what is written on the metal maybe we can cross it over to a major brand.

Try looking online for this type rifle used.
You might find a good deal and that way you will have
a family gun back in shape.

Ok. What are the markings on the .22 rifle?

Is it a Revelation 150? or 150M?

If so, its a Marlin 49. From what I've heard its a variation of the Marlin Model 60.

Anyways, if you need parts check out Numrich Gun Parts. www.e-gunparts.com

If you can find the model number, check the cross reference list on the Numrich site

www.e-gunparts.com/crossref.asp

It's alphabetical...you want Western Auto/Revelation.
