Weaponlights w/ Wires = Bad?

I'm playing w/ the idea of getting a Fabarm FP6 and putting a light on it. As there's no dedicated weaponlight, I would have to put a light w/ either a pushbutton or a wirethingy.

Are wirethingies a Bad Idea (tm)? Anyone? Justin?

on pumpguns where thelight is not mounted to the pumphandle, yes, they're a bad idea.


on semi autos or situations where the light and the button move as one unit there is no problem with them.
