Montana vs........

I have this recurring fantasy about one day winning the lottery.

The other day I was playing around on a realty site, looking at homes in the 1.5 - 3 million dollar range.

1.5m will get me either a condo in Tampa or a 5/3 log cabin on 80 acres in Montana.

How do the Montana gun laws stack up against the surrounding states?

Our gun laws don't stack up very well because we have so few of them :p

No doubt 'bout it, I would by-pass Miami at all cost; and be a happy
camper in the deep woods of Montana. I would want a ole' log cabin
with a wrap around front porch, with several fireplaces and a wood
stove; seated deep in the foothills of the mountains with my family
by my side, and the nearest neighbor at least 26 miles away from
me in any direction. That way, if I wanted too shoot game or just
target practice; I could step onto the porch and let 'her rip~! :D

Ala Dan, target shooting from the front porch sounds great to me! I will call you "Dad" if you will let me live there with ya!

I have been thinking about Montana too. I have relatives in MN, and really like the corn fields, but the even more gun friendly Montana is really call to me.
I live in AZ so its hard to move somewhere with 'gun laws' lol. I think Arizona and Montana's gun laws could be counted on one hand.

As much as I love visiting coastal Florida, you couldn't pay me to live in the state. No offense intended to any Florida residents, just a little too crowded and touristy for my residential tastes.

I'd take a fraction as many acres in Montana anyday.

Flordia is part of New York and Montana is begin taken over by Californians. It just a matter of time before they swing the state to fit the model they want to create for it. Basically there is no safe place to go any more.

Actually, I'm surprised at how restrictive Montana gun laws are:

No carry in state or local government buildings.

No carry in schools.

No carry where alcohol is served or sold.

No carry in financial institutions.

No state pre-emption so local governments may enact their own restrictions.

Come to Eastern WA. Maybe we'll get enough votes to seceede from Western WA. We can finally kiss those leftists in Seattle and Olympia good-bye for ever! Spokane could be our capitol! (I'm 100% serious, we need to seperate ourselves from the Oliypiads!)

Heck, we could join up with Idaho! Just get rid of Western WA! SECESSION NOW! Our votes don't count over here in the east half of the state; Let us leave in peace. We want a delegation that ACTUALLY REPRESENTS US AND OUR INTRESTS! SECEDE NOW! I am not asking to sever the bonds between DC and Eastern WA. We desire to remain a member of the United States. Just cut the bonds of unjust taxation and unequal represenation, and abolish those unconstitutional statutes which have been imposed upon us by Olympia.

We each have seperate interests in the system of governance, it would be best for all parties concerned if we were to part ways and persue our own political desires. What I am proposing is mutually benificial for all concerned; A new state, seperate from western influences. For benifit of all parties involved, it is justifiable and nessecary to part our bonds, and form seperate governments of our respective states.

(My god, it feels like I'm committing sedition.)

I have a better idea, k_semler: A lot of the suburbs and rural areas of West WA are pretty conservtive, so why punish them? Just snip out the tumors at the Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia city limits and 90% of the problem's solved right there...
DON'T SECEDE, KICK THEM OUT INSTEAD!
