where can I get a shorter Bbl for my new 870 exp 20ga? it comes with a 28" Bbl. but I would like to get a 24" or so bbl. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Do they even make a shorter bbl.(besides the 26")? know of any after market makers?

I would just have my barrel cut down to the length that you want it. I don't think that they make a 20ga 870 barrel shorter than the stock 26in it comes with but there are so many after marcket parts for the 870 that im probably wrong. The only thing about cutting down the barrel is you will have to have a smith re-thread it for choke tubes and you will loose your front beed site.. not that big of deal you can buy another.

The youth model comes with a 20" bbl, IIRC.

You can get them from Remington, or on eBay and elsewhere- the Express Youth comes with a 21" vent rib barrel with RemChokes, there's a 20" barrel with rifle sights too. Don't know about aftermarket, you could check Hasting and see what they offer.

Be careful to get a barrel that will fit, older 20 ga. 870s were made on 12 ga. frames and the barrels for them won't interchange. See the thread at http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=208615 for details.
