How strong is a S&W 640 .38 Spl?

All stainless 2" snubbie has .38 Spl on the barrel. Doesn't say anything about +P. Can it shoot +P though? I'm asking, but I suspect it can, and then some.

ammo that's out there withing SAAMI specs. That's +P, and +P+.:cool:

Swing cyl out. Look at frame area which would be under cyl. My 640 .38 spec has stamped "TESTED FOR +P+"
