I've heard a few rumblings of Hi-Point coming out with carbines in .40 S&W and .45 ACP. Does anyone know if this is true for sure? I submitted the question to MKS, but I'm too impatient to wait for their reply!

I was wondering the same thing yesterday! One of the things that I find funny, is that I will think of something to ask, and buy the time I get to a computer to do it, somebody will have already asked the question.

I have called the comapny and they indeed said they are coming out with a .45ACp carbine. They didn't give a street date though. This was about 6 months ago.

If money is not the problem, Wilson makes a 45ACP carbine conversion kit for the 1911, and all you have to do is remove the slide from the 1911, slide on the Wilson upper, and replace the link pin...the barrel looks to be at least 15-16" long, maybe longer.....stainless steel bull barrel.........costs $340, but, probably worth it.......am thinking of buying one myself, maybe this summer.........
