Now that we've found out that we're mostly True Americans (tm) with some occasional Liberal Airheads inbetween, let's try to pinpoint our points of view...
Did you already try out the Political Compass (http://www.politicalcompass.org) ?

Economic Left/Right: -2.38
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -4.87

Some good discussion on that test here (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2486&perpage=25&highlight=political%20compass&pagenumber=1).
The very first question ("If globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.") is unanswerable for me, as I don't think it's an either/or, zero-sum situation.

Duh!
I should've known that this thing has been discussed on THR before...
Then again, it might be interesting to take it once more. I discovered the test about 2 yrs ago and noticed a slight change in my positions since then. I think they alter the questions every now and then, too.
