I realize the concept of cardboard cops (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/2234965.stm) is an old one but the stupid Brits (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/1586053.stm) have been recycling it.
Maybe what they need is to start selling cardboard knives and guns to the citizens? It sure beats the trouble tactics (http://www.west-midlands.police.uk/saferstreets2/trouble.htm) these yo-yos suggest. "PArdon me, but I'm going to cross the street to get away from you now, Mr. Mugger".
