Suggestions for a more attractive Highpoint?

After hearing all the dismay by those viewing Highpoints, prompted by the intrinsically frightfull aesthetics of Highpoint pistols, I believe I should take the initiative to confront Highpoint on this issue. I believe if they use the correct lighting and camera angle when photographing their products, much of the "public shock effect" may be alleviated somewhat.
Before I submit this sample photograph of potentially improved aesthetics to Highpoint, take a look at it and feel free to offer any constructive criticism.
Thanks.

That's one way to improve thier looks. I found one that's not so "blocky" looking. :D ;) http://image1ex.villagephotos.com/2433886.jpg
Hey, try to find the different guns in the "New and Improved Highpoint" or the modification of the original.

I simply don't think it's possible. From a company that spawn such a hideous looking piece of equipment, I'd say simple censorship is the only option they've got. Sales might go up if customers don't witness the retchedness before laying down the dough. You never know.
Thanks for the effort guys, but now I'll always have a nauseating sensation when looking over Sigmas and berettas.

Suggestions for a more attractive Highpoint?
I'd suggest a 12 pack of cheap beer, but drinking and shooting isn't wise. ;)

The old HK VP70 was an attractive straight blowback 9mm.
Follow suit.

Ever since I heard a friend call the VP70 a "HiPoint & Koch", I've used the term myself. ;) The HiPoint & Koch and the Double Beagle are two fine examples of the fact that even revered companies occasionally produce guns in the "What Were They Thinking?!?" category... :uhoh:

Tamara,
The only real criticism I've ever heard for the VP70 is it's horrendously heavy DAO trigger.
Other than that, it is no bigger or heavier than a number of other pistols, was reliable, super hicap and mechanically very accurate. The materials used were all first rate and the unusual sights worked very well. Relative to its manufacturer, it was even inexpensive.
I don't want one, only because of the trigger.
I understand your Z3 is also known as the "$35,000 Miata".
Just because two guns have a roughly similar design, like a Browning Baby and a Lorcin, that doesn't mean they are equivalent.

...and the fact that it has a particularly cheap-feeling grade of polymer for the frame (hey, there's a downside to being first sometimes); is longer and heavier than a G17, yet has a shorter barrel, and (oh, yeah ;) ) has a really crappy trigger. Also, on most of the examples I've handled & fired, the frame/slide fit is really sloppy, which (while probably contributing to reliability in burst-mode-equipped guns) neatly cancels any supposed accuracy bennies from the fixed bbl. Who cares if your barrel's fixed when the sights point in a different direction every time the slide returns to battery?
A gun that made a swell Volks Maschinenpistole didn't translate well to a (relatively) bucks-up civilian semi-auto.
Other than that, it is no bigger or heavier than a number of other pistols, was reliable, super hicap and mechanically very accurate.
The supposed "mechanical accuracy" advantages of a fixed barrel are meaningless without A) A good trigger, and B) Sights fixed to the barrel rather than the slide.
I understand your Z3 is also known as the "$35,000 Miata".
Other than the 189-horse inline six, power top, heated seats and mirrors, better styling, higher quality materials, better fit & finish, 17-inch wheels and tires, traction control, and other amenities, you're absolutely right. Call my car a "Super Miata" and you wouldn't be far off the mark; it definitely aims at much of the same target market...
PS: You're $8k shy on the list, though... ;)

Oh my that boat anchor is the best....i was literly laughing out loud.....
I was thinking more along the lines of drink till shes cute... Just wait till you are good and drunk then that picture on the computer might be just for you....
please dont drink and shoot tho
edit:
being a car nut....
the miata is more for purists that want a well sorted out car. the z3 is someone wanting looks. then again i believe my sentra se-r is nice looking(for a shoe box) but man is she hand full.
so maybe the car comapro is a good way to put it. if you want to turn heads of others, get the z3(or z8 :D). if you want your head to turn, get the miata.
Just show up to any auto-cross and watch the miata's woop up on EVERYTHING

Re-design the lines of the carbine, it droops in the wrong places. Looks like someone laid to too close to the stove. Pistols are WAAAY to bulky looking, go to a steel insert if needed to reduce the amount of plastic.
I had a friend who tried to wear his Hi-Point 9mm pistol in a hip holster. He got stuck in the doorway from the extra bulk.

Good way to extend the analogy.
If all I did is dodge cones in parking lot races, I'd take a Miata over my Z3 2.8 every time. (Giving one "lookatme" points over the other is silly; one looks like a Lotus Elan and the other like the illegitimate offspring of a Cobra and a Beemer 507. Both are drop-dead gorgeous. ;) )
However, I also run Foothills Parkway, drive from K-town to Nashville or Atlanta, and drive in everyday traffic. In those situations, the extra 55% boost in horsepower, increased elbow and legroom, amenities like a power top and heated seats and traction control, and so on are worth it to me. Did they jack the price? Yup. Was it worth it? To me it was.
There's an Airweight .38 Smith in my vest pocket and an all-steel 1911 in my waistband; they'd be kind of silly if I reversed their places. Right tool for the job. ;)

Handy,
We are talking about the same woman who has equated a P210 to a Tokarev... :neener:
The VP70Z was the classic case of a big pile of good ideas producing a lovely quality firearm that is quite nearly useless for a genetically normal human to use, though. Between the 50 pound trigger, and the tiny, gimmicky sights, you have to wonder if HK was daring people to actually hit something with that gun. Helmut Weldle must have gotten some bad acid or something...

I've made some tongue-in-cheek comments about HK stuff before, but after playing with the thing in person, I've got to say it is well and truly a platypus of a handgun.

Hey now... I used to have a VP-70. It wasn't that bad... The trigger was a bit heavy... but not a problem.
And the sights... well... you want to talk gimicky... take a look a those Steyr sights.
The VP-70 was made when a lot of cats were tinkering with pistol sights... trying to find a better system. Hear of the "Guttersnipe" sight system?
Lets also not forget that the VP-70 was an early PDW system for the military that involved burst first and a shoulder stock... they just some the the single fire guns to civies.

Some folks just have no appreciation for humor in the reductio ad absurdum vein. ;)
(Would it surprise you to know that the same person insists that "USP" stands for "Universal Sellout Pistol" and "TPH" for "Toilet Paper Handgun"? ;) :p )

I like to think of those who don't like the trapizoidial sites is like trying to teach an old dog new tricks.

Saying a VP70 trigger was a "bit heavy" is like saying an M44 carbine is a "bit loud". I've felt nastier triggers, but most of them were on Nagant revolvers. ;)
I agree that the thing made a whole lot more sense in its VP70M PDW incarnation than it did in the civilian pistol version. (That is what it was intended to be; a cheap-to-make, light, easy-to-use mass-issue machine pistol. I'd imagine a semiauto-only 93R would seem kinda silly, too. :) )
