Help with my M4A1 carbine I think......

Hi guys this is Pete Marovich signing in. I have came across a very nice gun. I believe it is a M4A1 carbine .30 cal. I believe it was used as a parachuters gun, it has a metal fold over stock that is really nice. It cam with a couple other goodies not to mention..... i am not really familiar with this gun at all. I need a little help was to what i have. and to how i can take care of it? Is it a safe gun to shoot? Really any input i can get on this magnificant piece of equipment i would deeply appreciate it!!!!! Thank you very much, i will be checking my mail reguarly because i am very eager to do what i can to get this gun to tip top shape...... HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!

i dont have that much (if any) experiences with AR/m4/m16 style guns but i sure would love to see some pictures!

From the description, I think that it is an M1 carbine, not an M4 carbine.

Sounds like a M1A1 carbine. Pretty rare find.

There is no way for one to determine the shootability of firearms over the Internet. Best thing to do is to take to to a qualified gunsmith for a safety inspection.
