Does anyone have one of these?

If so, how do you like it? Does anyone happen to have the SA only version?

Also - with the new FN .45 coming out, is there an across-the-board design change on these, or is it a larger version of this? (I'm trying to decide if I should wait.)

Thanks.

I had one for a week...I liked it, but I love my Steyr's...I sold my FNP40 to a friend. You really cannot beat the deal at $350 with 3 hi cap mags. It reminds me a lot of the Sig line.

I haven't been able to find them for that price. The cheapest I've seen them, is the $399 special at CDNN.

The dealers around here don't stock them and they quote around $470-$499 for them (if they order).

Yeah, if you know where $350 street price is, point me in that direction. That is less than my dealer cost.

I own the Browning version ... the Pro-40. Nice gun but the trigger is a bit gritty. The trigger on the Pro-9 (which I also own) is MUCH better.

My last shooting times mag had alot of good things to say about them, i would think about one but, i am covered on handguns for a while there are only two more that i want, a single action revolver and a kimber 1911. I was wondering are those fn pistols made in south carolina like the weapons they make for us? (the army).

Interesting, call me out and when I answer you all,
I find your posting’s somewhat lacking.

I could say more, but since we are returning to a more polite THR I won't.
But if your dealer gives you such a high price I would find another dealer

Dude, that wasn't a call out. If I ever call you on something, you will know it. :)

I am a dealer. Off the top of my head $350 is around dealer cost. An FN master dealer gets a bit more of a break, but even then, selling straight at $350 is damn cheap. FN did blow out their old models a while ago (that is where the $399 CDNN guns come from), but $350 retail is surprising.

I must be behind the curve on where to buy FN stuff from.

I just checked, that isn't just below cost, that's like super good guy FN master dealer secret handshake price. Don't be surprised when most of your local dealers are in the mid $400 range on up.

the .45 is a totally new gun, I don't think there wil be design changes filtering down to the 9s and 40s.

Yes they are made entirely in the United States, and assembled in South Carolina.

Check out my signature line. :D
Its an FN dedicated forum and would quantify as my primary one as I am a paid member. If a gnat farts in the FN world we are talking about it before the smoke clears. The FNP series is easy to stay on top of price wise , Its the fun ones like the PS90s and FS200s that make price tracking alost impossible. Also we have a section for whom ever is selling 5.7x28 at the best price and it is often updated daily as to who has it in stock besides just the price

I talked to FN, apparently that guy bought something like 80 (!) dealer packets through Jerry's (wholesaler). He is trying to recoup, as that is still below cost.

So I don't think I would call it a "going rate". More of an abnormality, kind of like when I was selling Veprs at below dealer cost. So snag them at that while you can. :)

Any idea as to the availability of the .45 version?
