Price check on Ruger Mini 14 .223

I just acquired a MINT 15 year old Ruger Mini 14 in .223. The handguard (?) that normally is metal with holes in it (I assume for heat dispersion) is solid wood.

This rifle has NEVER been fired. It is still in the original box in fact.

Can someone tell me what it would be worth? Thanks.

Are you sure its 15yrs old? What's the serial number? Most Minis are worth about $400-$500 unless they have some kind of fancy folding stock. Then they can be worth a couple hundred more.

If the serial # starts with 180 ....... it was made between 1974-1977. This may be of some worth to a collector.

181 series...... 1978-80. Possibly some interest in UNFIRED condition.
