Secret Service Grips

Have a set of Pachemeyer (sp) pebble rubber grips on my SP 101 and they work ok but the "Secret Service" style wood grip has caught my eye recently.

Anybody know if anyone makes those for an SP 101? Looks like they are aimed toward the S&W J frame crowd.

Also, how practical are they? Do they function well in a reload situation with a Safariland or HKS speedloader?

Particularly look at post #6 of that thread for an SP101 with Secret Service grips. I have a set of these on a S&W 640. I'm satisfied with it, but they're really not all that good. Mine are checkered and there are checkering overruns all over the grip. Not real bad, but enough to notice upon close inspection. I got them cheap, so it really didn't matter. Otherwise, I don't have a problem with them, although I have read complaints about fit from other posters.

For my SP101 .357 3inch, I've got the hots for a set of Badger grips, but I find that I like the factory grips very much and am reluctant to spend $60 on a set of grips & then find out that I'd rather have factory. My 3 inch 9mm SP101 wears a pair of Hogue seconds wood grips (I have no idea why they are seconds, I can't find any problems with them) and I like them very much.

No, they are the "Secret Service" style from eagle grips. www.eaglegrips.com

I do have some Badger grips from grips4guns.com on my S&W 642, though

Looking at the Badger grips they look even handier than the SS style.

They don't get in the way of a speedloader reload do they?

I wouldn't think so - but, I use speed strips.
