DPMS Removable Carry Handle Quality?

Fellow Shooters,

I'll be sending off some funds tomorrow for my Rock River Flatop 20" upper to finally complete another AR project before I move on to the next one.

Because it is a flat top I'll need a carry handle type rear sight (I'm not a big fan of flip up sights) and the DPMS is priced way under everyone else. I'm looking at $65 for one vs $100+ for a RR or Bushy. I've had a DPMS removable carry handle before and I wasn't impressed with the quality. The "clicks" felt mushy and it would hang up when moving the elevation. I'm hoping that it was a lemon because I do want to give DPMS another chance. My wallet also wants to give DMPS another chance!

Anyone here own one that they are satisfied with?

Good Shooting

Red,

I have a DPMS removable carry handle on my DPMS A3 20" upper, and have absolutely no complaints. The detents on the elevation screw may not be as crisp as on other brands, but they do provide sufficient tactile feedback. More importantly, the handle fits accurately enough on the upper, that there is absolutely no zero change on the rear sights despite repeated removals and reattachments for cleaning.

The price was definitely right too!
