You can't really read much into email replies from customer service. I've also contacted them and the regional sales director and all they'll say is they haven't made a firm decision on whether to offer the SC model for the XD45.

You really wouldn't expect them to confirm anything until they are ready to release a new model, now would you;) But it's always good to contact them, to let them know that the interest in the SC is "out there".

However, since they've released SC models in other XD calibers (except for the 45GAP, which was a road to nowhere!), I have a good feeling that SA will take advantage of the VERY poplular XD45 model:D But that's just MY opinion.

A few months back I wrote a similar email and got an identical response; however, I do hope that the continued pokes they're getting about this will at some point hit the right guy in the chain, someone who himself also wants a XD45SC and will therefore fight for it.

"Even though we probably know darn well the future of the product line, we'll play dumb so you don't delay your purchase waiting for the new model." :D

+1 I did the same thing, got the same response. Maybe if enough of us do it someone will complain to their boss enough about all the clamoring for a XD45SC and they'll give in and make it just to shut us up :p
