Has anyone out there ever straightened an AK gas block. Seems to be a pretty common problem with RomAKs. I tried the method shown on the Romanian Kalashnikov sight that everyone is probably familiar with. Problem is I don't know how hot to get the gas block in order to get it to move, I don't want to destroy my barrel. I heated it some with a small propane torch and hit it with dead blow but it just won't move. It doesn't seem to affect the rifle but I would like to fix it, maybe install a red dot sight someday. If anyone has ever successfully done this I'd like your advice.
