I'm having so-so results with my 6.5x55 handloads through a Ruger 77mII. The only thing I've tried so far is 140-grain Speers and Reloder 22.

Do Rugers stabilize lighter .264 bullets better than heavier?

What is your favorite handload for your 6.5x55 SE?

Thanks in advance

The 6.5x55 is a caliber that likes heavy bullets seated to long OAL. Most rifles should fire lighter bullets just fine since they have "fast" twist for the heavy bullets, however the freebore in 6.5 rifles is long so it depends on the individual rifle. You are gona want to keep the OAL as long as you can. Try different loads and see what works best.
