Does anybody know of a website or magazine or something that would post up people that have opening on their hunting leases..

Doesn't look like we are going to be able to get back on ours since the owner is downsizing and the people that have most seniority have the first chance at a spot and we have only been on 3 years. Nothing compared to some people that have been on it for 30 + years :what:

Thanks

Edit: Iam in South Texas

Most Texas leases have been out of my wallet range for quite a while. You can find an occasional affordable day lease, though, especially for doves and such.

Any chance of joining one of the 30 + year groups? Or does the Texas MNR have a list?

I believe this was all on private land, and it was the land owner limiting the number of hunters. I'm not sure what MNR is, but most hunting in TX is done on private land. I have found a couple dove leases around Austin on Craig's list, you might get lucky there.

I day hunt hogs occasionally. You can get into some good hog hunting that's fairly affordable. Forget deer, though, on my budget. That's why I bought land, cheaper. It may not be big and there may be few trophies there, but hey, it's ate up with deer.

I had a good dove/goose lease for 300 a year, dropped it a couple of years ago. Bird leases are reasonable.

Gotcha about MNR. We always called it TPWD, or rather TeePeeDubyaDee. :D

I always get the TPWD type two public hunting permit. Not much for deer hunting, but I use it locally at the Guadelupe Delta WMA for ducks and there's some good dove hunting and small game to be had. I have to do some more east Texas stuff some time. Lots of good squirrel hunting up there if nothin' else.

Yup I gonna get the public lands permit and hopefully do some birds this year. I was one a nice dove hunting hole one time. A friend of mine owned a huge gravel pit and it was constant shooting. As fast as you could load the gun again.

I was hoping to find a deer lease again. Teh one I was one was near Johnson City. If I do find one hopefully it will be a little closer to Corpus
