Impressions on compact auto's
Glock22

Looking for new handgun. Something that is more compact like a Sig p239 or Glock 23, Glock 19, maybe a heckler and koch. I am leaning towards a Glock 23 because i have a glock 22. On the Glock 22 the recoil is like a 9mm, but i have heard the recoil on the Glcok 23 is much snappier. How much more recoil and flame does .357 sig have compared to .40?

Isn't the 23 & 19 basically GLock's mid size? To go compact, I'd think you'd have to go straight to the 26/27. I recently shot a few of these compacts and really like the 26 w/ the mid size mags for a little more ammo and a tad more grip.

I've rented a 26 a few times at a local range and really like shooting it - even with the shorty magazine. I found it both comfortable and accurate. My wrist won't take much more than 9mm, so haven't tried any of the more powerful Glocks in that size. If I didn't love my (slightly thinner) Makarov so much I'd probably be carrying a 26.

The GLOCK! 26 was my first carry gun. Awesome little piece, really accurate and controllable. I sure miss the little guy.
Sold it to finance my SIG P220.
