Hi everybody. My website (www.brassfetcher.com) is currently being rearranged such that the most relevant test information is listed first and then the descriptions, etc are listed after that. Hopefully this will aid people in getting the info that they want, faster.

Also, stay tuned in the next couple of months for new ballistic gelatin tests. I will be getting more gelatin powder soon, but due to time constraints, will probably only be able to post the results to my website. I am looking to make a 'large rifle' mold and also am looking for BIG rifle owners in the N. Florida area to test some gelatin...

You might think about switching to blogging software. It makes life much easier for your and your readers. Easy for you to post, and easy for your readers to keep up with via RSS.

Wordpress.org is a good system that's free, and they offer hosting at wordpress.com. Moveabletype.org is good, too, and is free for non-commercial use. I use MT, but if I was starting now I'd probably use Wordpress.

You can still use your existing content. Just copy and paste the HTML into the blog software.

Where do you get the ballistic gelatin? How much does it cost?

Oh, and I second Les's recommendation on blogging software. I use blogger, but thats cause its super free and super easy, but if I had more time (or really, motivation) I would be on wordpress as well.

Hmmm... Thanks for the info. I definately would like to find a more streamlined approach to posting the material - and my occasional, related rants. That is definately something that I will consider once my domain runs out (pretty good $$$ to keep the site going.

Countertop, I use Vyse brand gelatin - www.vyse.com. Great product great people. I had a problem with my second batch of gelatin powder, making blocks with looser than ideal calibration. This, as it turns out, is normal with all brands of powder ('correction formulas' exist because of this), but two of their representative spents over an hour helping me troubleshoot the problem (they sell tens of thousands of pounds to 'public' interests) and I was concerned about my 25 pound lot - they were too. 25 lbs cost ~$160 and the equipment is ~$500. You can keep your domain and install the blogging software on your current Web site. If you haven't installed CGIs before you might get a buddy to do it for you, or ask your Web host for help.
