Nothing on the bottom floorplate, they have a little sticker that says England. Aim Surplus has them, and a local shop here has them, anyone try them? They are not mentioned in the mag faqs I have seen.

I got a couple of them recently. They were originally intended for use with the SA-80, but they revamped the mags and surplussed a ton. They are pretty much like USGI, but with a steel body, and a type of anti tilt follower. The two I got work great. Word is, they're good mags. GET SOME.

I played around with one at the range yesterday. Between the people there, we had a Daewoo, a Colt HBAR, a Bushmaster carbine, and a Colt carbine. The mag was a really tight fit in all of them, and caused a bunch of malfunctions as well.

It was only a single mag, though - could be a lemon.

Good stuff, have two, left one fully stuffed for three weeks as a test and it ran fine, fits great in my Bushie, very durable.

Real tight fit on my Oly. I've got to jam it in for it to lock in. Have'nt fired from it yet.

These British SA-80 mags are, in my opinion, MUCH more durable than the regular USGI variety, being made of steel instead of aluminium. They fit and function perfectly in all three of my ARs. Their only drawbacks, as far as I can see, is that they are significantly heavier than the USGI mags, and the floorplate is a PITA to remove.

Yeah, the floorplates didn't look to easy to remove...

Sounds good overall though, guess I will go and pick up one or two tomorrow... too bad the AR isn't done though...

I like the SA80 mags. I used a bunch of them at a Tac Rifle class I attended last year, they functioned flawlessly. Just keep them coated with CLP, and you'll avoid the rust factor.
