Last weekend I took my new Marlin 336 XLR 30-30 out after mounting a new Nikon Buckmasters 3-9 40mm scope w/ Leupold base and rings.

After zeroing and shooting offhand (sitting position) at 100 yards I was getting 1.5 inch groups w/ the new Hornady Lever Revoloution ammo. :D

I didn't get a chance to shoot it from a steady benchrest, but I will do so within the next week and post pictures if I don't shoot too horribly!

So far I love this rifle. Fun to shoot, relatively cheap ammo, accurate enough, super easy to clean. Should be great for Sitka blacktail deer in about a month!
