Decent price but what makes this model "special"?

The fact that Remington calls this 870 variant the "Express Special Purpose" in its catalog?

I mean, given that they call other variants the Express Deer Gun, the Wingmaster, the Classic Trap, the Express Turkey Camo, they probably should have called this gun the Express Katrina Edition, or the Express No Means No Anti-Rape Model. But Special Purpose is more PC.:D

also i just read on the remmington site that they have a $30 mail in rebate for any 870 express model shotgun. aug 1 2006- dec 31 2006.

They have the same gun for $10 less than Turners, and they charge less for DROS as well (hell, might as well throw a Mosin on the DROS while you're there -- they have some nice numbers-matching Mosins at the moment).

They also have the hunting version in 12 or 20 for $269 ($239 if you account for the rebate).
