Which one should I get?

I'm looking to get an AK/AK variant and have researched and looked all over and have finally narrowed it down to 2 choices. The prices are about the same so that's not an issue.
1.) Norinco Mak-90
OR
2.) Arsenal SLR-105 A1 Ban config
The lack of a bay lug and no threaded barrel isn't really an issue with me.
Help!

The SLR should already have its appropriate parts count taken care of, meaning that it would be easier to modify in the future without worrying about 922(r) issues. The SLR will also take standard AK furniture, something that most MAK-90s won't do (since most have the angled rear treceiver design).
Presuming that you're OK with the 5.45 round instead of the 7.62 round, I vote SLR.

I'm going through the same thing right now as well. I 've heard great thing about Arsenal but not much about Mak-90's. I think I'm going to get a Saiga and get it converted by either http://www.ak-103.com/home.html or http://www.tromix.com/Welcome.htm

I don't have a Chinese AK but I have read and heard people who do say that they may not feed hollow points and soft points reliably, just fmj's. Sometimes HP's and SP's are all you can get. If my Romanian and Saiga only swallowed ball ammo I would be looking for things that ate it all.
