Remington had a short run of the 300 Savage not to long ago in their Model 700 Classic.
Remington and Winchester both factory load the ammo still, but not premium lines, just standard Super X and Core-Lokt Express.
I don't kow of anyone that makes 250 rilfe or load.

No one is chambering the 300 savage right now. I don't think the 250 is being made either.

For about $100 in reloading gear, you could make your own .300 Savage ammo. And for about the same cost as making .308 ammo, or .30-06, or .303 Brit, etc.
Just thought I'd point that out...

There are used Savage 99s out there in .300 Savage. I think Savage made a few 110s in it if I remember right, and/or maybe it was a run of 99s. I don't see the point, though, when you can get a .308, still short action, very similar to .300 Savage, but with more umph. There is no shortage of .308 factory ammo choices, either.
The .250 was a sweet caliber, good for deer to 250-300 yards and very light recoil. The .243 is just as good, though. I own an old .257 Roberts. I have had a love affair with that old gun since I shot my first deer with it at age 11, would have been the 1963 deer season. It was my grandpa's gun. I've refinished it and it has a permanent spot in my safe, of course. Whatever the .250 can do, the .257 can do a little better. It's a little longer case, but it's chambered in my short action M722 Remington. The case is based on the 7x57 Mauser. I don't know if Ruger or Browning are chambering for .257 Roberts anymore, but they used to. My pet 100 grain handload fires a 100 grain Sierra Game King at 3150 fps and is a 3/4 MOA load, my most accurate hunting rifle. Its recoil is light enough for an 11 year old kid, too. :D

There's plenty of .300 Savage ammo being made right now. You may have to order it (some gunshops don't carry it) but it's not as if it's difficult to find. I ordered a few boxes about a month ago from Cheaper Than Dirt (I think - may have been one of the other online places) to warm up my Remington Model 81, and for hunting season this fall.
Unfortunately, no one (as far as I know) is making any new rifles chambered for this excellent (in my opinion) whitetail cartridge.

No production rifles are currently built in this cartridge. But many Remington 700 Classics are available through GunsAmerica.com Many are as-new in the box!

federal, rem and win all list 300 savage as a production round. meaning it should be available to any shop.
Remington and Winchester market 250 ammo too.
ruger had two runs of 250 rifles in the last few years. I have both 77 s and a 77 rsi in 250, Winchester had made the 250 for a couple of years in the feather lite, still looking for those.
Savage 99s are horrible rifles and you should all send them to me for safe keeping. icky horrible nasty things..........

I make all kinds of 250 savage in my house. :)
Honestly, I hadn't seen too much about the round till a nice M77 was given to me - actually inherited by me just a little over a year ago. I credit the high cost of rounds for that rifle with getting me into reloading and consequently emptying my dern wallet. If you have one, learn to reload it. Well worth it.
