I've been thinking of getting my daughter her own .22 for her birthday in Oct. She's going to be 10 and desperately needs a shorter rifle than mine. I've got her shooting and liking it but I am finding it impossible to teach any kind of propper technic or accuracy with what I have. It just doesn't fit. Anyway, I've only found youth models in single shot and would much prefer a semi or lever. I'm afraid a single might turn her off. Reolading every shot with a .22 would get annoying and boring.

I've called the local shops and turned up nothing.

Uh, a 10-22? The factory stocks on those are quite short.

I think Henry and Winchester (9422) both make a lever 22 with shorter stocks.

(the Winchester costs about twice as much)

Thanks, I'll look into the Henry. My brother has a .22 Henry that's pretty nice.

This may be a dumb question but what is a 10 - 22?
Is that different from a regular .22 lr?

Ruger semi-auto 22 rifle with 10 shot rotary magazine.

One of the most popular 22 rifles of all time - mainly because you can buy a $1000 of accessories for a < $200 rifle.
