My brother lives in (gag) Glendale and is thinking about trying out some practical shooting competition. He's never done anything like this before and doesn't have anyone to go with, so I'm looking for advice on good clubs for new shooters (he's not new to shooting, just to competition) and THR-folk who might be able to take him under wing for the day, as it were, to get him up to speed.

This is just in the thought stage right now, so no dates, just looking for some locations to put on the list.

Thanks folks,

- Gabe

IDPA Kali Club Info (http://www.idpa.com/clublist.asp?state=CA). Basically there's three choices in SoKal: Fillmore, Chino and the new one where the 118 and 210 come together, that's the closest to Glendale.

For IPSC go here (http://www.uspsa.org/) and scroll down to the "USPSA and Member Clubs" section. In there you'll find the "USPSA Club Finder" link.

Get onto the IDPA website and look up local groups in California.

I've gone to Oceanside and Prado (Chino). I like them both, each has strong points. Oceanside is indoor, Prado outdoor.

Good luck and good shooting!:D
