What is it with all these high capacity shotguns? Are they for folks who can't hit anything with the first two shots? :uhoh:
Boy, and I used to think the Italians made pretty shotguns.

It's always funny to see some guy with a gun like that show up at the trap range with it.

I've shot freehand trap with a pistol stocked M3 once, sadly that day I did better with that (18.5", GR sights) than I did with my Wingmaster
Nelson, bring that too in Sept. :D

running outta shells shooting at a pheasant is a pity
running outta shells shooting at a BG in a panic at 3 am could be the end of you.
no ones gunna take a Hicap hunting. but when it comes to HD, we all know. its better to have the extra rounds and not need them, then need them an not have them

It could be the same reason that hi-cap auto loading pistols have become so popular.
The trend does seem to indicate that many people assume that their burglars will come in at least squad strength. :D
My emphasis on training has always been on marksmanship not grazing fire. ;)

Honda and Toyota may dominate the passanger car market but it doesnt mean that they will perform better than a Mercedes.

My pockets my not run as deep as yours 45R. I try to go w/ the best quality that I can afford and not worry if something happens to it. :uhoh: I lost a Browning Belgium Sweet 16 in the Lumber River once. :cuss: That really hurt my feelings. :( I have never been able to replace it. :barf: My friend in, Tarheel NC, (yes a real small town on hi-way 87), (DR=Daddy Rabbit) has one just like it. :) We have hunted Dove, Duck, Whitetail,,,, etc with them. It was just a special shotgun for me.

:barf: Sorry to hear about the shotgun. That really sucks

Nothing wrong with that at all.
Just ask Dave about my history here
On another note why are 870 owners so sensitive when a Benelli owner and an 870 owner pokes fun at them....?

PS: My Benelli whooped my 870 so bad, it left home and hasn't been seen since. I bet it's over in Missouri now being used to ground swat coots and such.:D

What is it with all these high capacity shotguns? Are they for folks who can't hit anything with the first two shots? Why use 2 when you can use 11? It works for mall ninjas........:neener:
2 is fun, 2 is skilled. 11 is fun and dandy. And, despite that there's more 870s than ants in the movie "THEM", that doesn't mean "bigger is better:neener: . I'd pick that M4 over the most exquisite wingmaster ever created.
Okay, no I wouldn't. I"d take the wingmaster, sell it, buy an M4, and retire:evil: .
Italians do make pretty shotguns--they just cost more than my car.:scrutiny:  . And Benelli's quality control is *gasp* better than remington nowadays. The dark side is beckoning.........

..Gordon, Lee Lapin, Corriea... I know you 3 have taken Awerbuck's classes for sure....others as well ... please -
Confirm for me since I have not attended a Awerbuck class.
High Caps - pay attention. You may not be near Dave or Corriea, teir Challenge still stands.
Still there is a way to prove how effective that high cap is.
Awerbuck I am told instructs "one cannot tell what shell is in a shotgun, or how many rounds is in that shotgun".
He tosses the keys to his truck onto the range. If he stops you during a range drill - and asks, and you can tell him what shell [slug or pellet] or how many in gun
You get his truck.
I am told nobody has picked up the keys yet, and Awerbuck has had to walk home.
Hey, if you are that good, Play the Benelli against Awerbuck's truck keys.
He travels around, I am sure he will be near you sometime.

why do people compare semi auto shotguns to pump action 870s
semi autos cost more there quality should be better and you cant say this 870 isnt on par with an m4

Tried two different Benelli SGs, sold both and have 870s these days. Too many years of trigger time on the 870/1100 platforms.
When I was playing at my in-laws farm with the M1S90, neighbor called up and wanted to know what kind of machine gun we were shooting. Those puppies are fast !
