My Dad has a Hopkins and Allen kit rifle (flintlock) that he built in the late 70's. .45 cal. He's never fired it but I was looking at a while back and noticed the front and rear sights were missing. He said they were never in the box. It looks like a couple of grooves that the sights would slide into in the barrel.

Anyone know were I might start looking for somethng like that?

You might try asking Deer Creek in Waldron, Indiana. Their phone # is 765-525-6181. They were selling Hopkins & Allen underhammers until recently and maybe the parts have some similiarity.
